How to Win at Roulette
There have been many books and theories written on how to win at Roulette. Outside bets are considered to be bets that are of 12 or 18 numbers together. In other words you are betting on the ball landing on one of 12 or 18 numbers chosen. A player can choose the first, second or third column of twelve and this pays out odds of 2:1, or he can choose one of the 18-number options. The eighteen number options include choosing numbers that are 1-18, or 19-36 or all even numbers or all odd numbers or all red or all black numbers. Bets that cover 18 numbers pay out at odds of 1:1. The inside bets have better odds but the likelihood of the ball landing on one of these numbers is lower. For example, if you choose a single number bet, you have a 1 in 37 chance of getting that number (if you are playing European Roulette with only one zero). Having said that, the odds for these bets are much higher, at 35:1 for a single number bet. The odds correspond to the quantity of numbers your bet covers. For example a Split or two number bet will pay out odds of 17:1 whereas a 6 number bet will pay out odds of 5:1.
Sensible Roulette Betting
When you are playing roulette for real money, it is highly recommended not to place all your money on one bet. Set yourself a bankroll when you are playing a game of Roulette so that you can spread your bets over a few games. Make sure your bankroll is large enough to cover a few games using the coin size of your choice. Place your bets across the board, which basically means don't just bet on one number. It is a good idea to place a single number bet together with a bet on multiple numbers. For example you could bet on the number 13 and also on all of the even numbers. Remember you can place as many bets as you want for one spin of the wheel, for example you could place a single number bet, a street or three number bet and a bet on the first 18 numbers 1-18 which is known as a low bet.
